Jaba warming himself on a branch.

Eating a tasty bug!

Jaba will now eat out of people's hands and is getting very friendly.
He did not like it when the old Kererū classrooms were being demolished  and kept hiding behind things in his enclosure.
He is much happier now the loud banging and crashing has stopped.

We are a team of Year 5 and 6 students at Te Waka Unua School.

We have a very interesting and exciting team pet called Jaba.

He is a bearded dragon, which is an Australian lizard with spiny scales and a large spiky frill around his neck.

This week he started shedding his skin. Have a look at the photos of Jaba's old skin coming off.
